This is the original pad that all high-grade gun companies used. It is exactly like the pre- World War II Silvers pad. Early guns by Purdey, Parker, Fox, Ithaca, Winchester, Holland, Sauer, Merkel, L.C. Smith, etc. would have been shipped with this pad. It is absolutely indistinguishable from the original in style, size and color. It makes the finest base for traditional leather covered pads. No other pad like it is currently manufactured. Base measures 6' long and 1 31/32' wide (at the widest point). It has two 5/8' diameter 'knock out' plugs for easy access to screw holes during installation.
